I spent my whole career in the technology industry. It is an industry where companies need to continuously innovate and obsolete themselves in order to not fall behind the competition. I am willing to say that it is the same for other industries as well… Maybe the pace of innovation differs, but if you are not innovating to add value to your customers, you are falling behind.

Yet, for most companies, it is very difficult to figure out how to do it. Not that they don’t have the people capable of delivering; but allocating the resources (both human and financial) to innovate proves to be very challenging.
